Dad was admitted to Annie Penn Hospital Saturday afternoon because of increased swelling in his leg due to blood clots. Thanks for your prayers! Mom reported this morning that the swelling in his leg/foot is almost completely gone and that there is some redness leftover from the irritation. With a little pain left over in general and after 2 nights of "hospital sleep" (mom says they have no intentions for you to sleep/rest in the hospital) I am sure Dad will be happy to sleep in his own bed tonight!
They also put in a portacath this morning to make future chemo treatments easier as they will no longer have to poke and prod him in order to start the treatment. The Doctor said it went well. (and deer, turkeys, birds, rabbits, etc.- you're not in the safe... they put the portacath on the right side of his chest- allowing my left-handed Daddy to continuing shooting easily!)
